The timeline stretches near the beginning, close to episode 140, the final episode, and even after the finale, rendering this account somewhat superfluous.

This is from Nishikino’s perspective, including the stories of Carissa and Shureira.

I had imagined it, but… my mother fainted.

My name is Nishikino Yuuto. I’m 17 years old.

By some twist of fate, I was transported to another world.

I might have been a chosen being. After all, I was given the choice to select abilities when I arrived in that world.

With immense power, I could whimsically destroy a nation.

Become capable of magic, and go around saving people.

Even world domination seemed like a fun idea.

While many attractive proposals came to mind, this was a unique opportunity in another world.

I chose what had been my dream for a long time: a “cheat-powered harem.”

Then, unbelievably fun days began.

Even I, who had always struggled with communication, found it no longer a chore to make eye contact once I realized I could charm anyone I looked at.

Moreover, in this world, I seemed to be considered handsome.

Beauties on the street corners sighed at the sight of me. Had it been the old me, they would have sighed for entirely different reasons.

And once they made eye contact with me, even the proudest of women were instantly charmed by me.

Any woman, and if needed, even men… though I’d rather not charm men.

…Well, since it’s a once-in-a-lifetime otherworldly adventure, I’ll thoroughly enjoy this world to the fullest!

To start, I charmed women here and there to secure a place to stay for the night.

After all, aside from this ability, I was penniless and hungry.

From the next day on, I charmed passing beauties as I walked, with the spirit of creating a grand harem in this otherworldly adventure.

Then, I charmed a real estate agent to buy a mansion at a bargain price and decided to live there with the beauties.

It was the best of days.

I didn’t have to work since the women doted on me, and they were all smitten with me.

I was thoroughly enjoying this otherworldly experience.

Then, one day, about a month into building my harem, I saw soldiers dragging away a girl who was resisting.

“No! Let go of me!”

“Be quiet! You witch who violates the taboo!”

The girl resisted but was no match for the burly soldiers, who lifted her and took her away.

Listening to the murmurings of the townspeople, it seemed that the girl had been a very good person.

…Above all, that girl was… very cute.

I secretly followed the soldiers alone.

After they got on a carriage, I charmed a horse from the people around and chased them by mastering the charmed horse.

The soldiers entered the royal castle.

I was stopped at the gate, but Charm made it virtually a free pass.

My ability was invincible against people. It was indeed a cheat.

Then, I boldly entered the royal castle and boldly gathered information about that girl from the people around me.

I heard that the girl was a criminal and was going to be detained in the dungeon and later executed.

But, to me, that girl didn’t seem like a bad person at all.

So, that night, I secretly infiltrated the royal castle.

Having gathered the information during the day, entering was no trouble at all.

The security was laughably lax.

As I stealthily made my way downstairs, I heard the sobbing of a girl… probably her voice.

The guard soldier pointed his spear at me, but I calmly made eye contact.

“Could you let me through? I want to save the girl inside.”

Even making eye contact, there was little response.

…Indeed, being a guard meant something. A tough one to crack.

“Who are you? You can’t. The person inside is a major criminal. We can’t let her out.”

“Major crime, you say? She just created life, right?”

Still no effect. …I was getting a bit anxious.

“Even if she used it, creating it isn’t a crime. Besides, life isn’t something that can be created so easily, is it? Is it right to kill a young researcher who possesses such technology?”

“That is… for the king to decide.”

“What if the king is wrong? This research will undoubtedly change this country, no, the world. Why does the king want to kill it? …Listen, the king is afraid. Outstanding research generates immense wealth. He’s afraid it will threaten his position. If you let me and that girl go now, you will make history.”

I kept talking nonstop as a way to buy time.

After talking desperately for what seemed like forever, the soldier was finally affected by my cheat, muttered something, gave me the keys to the cell, and let me through secretly.

Passing through the cells, I found the girl I saw during the day in the innermost cell.

Roughly brought in, she had bruises all over, dirty with mud, dust, and tears.

She noticed me and looked up.

“Who are you?”

“I’m Nishikino Yuuto. I’ve come to take you away.”

That was the first conversation between me and Carissa.

After that, it was easy. The soldier turned a blind eye as I took Carissa out.

We left through a secret passage in the castle, put her in the prepared carriage, and went home together.

Carissa, either from exhaustion or relief, fell asleep leaning on me in the carriage.

Her pink, silky hair fell on my shoulder, emitting a sweet fragrance.

At that moment, unlike the feeling of achievement or conquest I had when winning over other women, I felt a sense of relief, a strange sense of comfort.

…Looking back, I think that was a fateful encounter.

Carissa was an alchemist.

She was captured for successfully creating “life,” which is taboo in this country.

But normally, she didn’t seem like that at all, just a bright, energetic, slightly selfish, very wonderful girl.

…Eventually, I began to struggle.

As I watched the innocent and bright Carissa, I started to feel guilty about using my cheat to have girls serve me.

Even though it was another world, I felt as if I had awakened from a dream, burdened with heavy, cold thoughts.

Nishikino Yuuto is perfect.

He has a good personality, can do anything, and even if there are parts he can’t fake (convince), he gets forgiven by being called “cute.”

He’s also good-looking (apparently). And he has a mysterious charm.

But Nishikino Yuuto is not such a person.

He was mean-spirited, unable to do anything, and even when he did manage something, he rarely received any acknowledgment.

His face was average, and he had no attractive qualities, a dull person.

That’s why he couldn’t undo the cheat.

He had absolutely no confidence in being liked without the cheat.

…Well, in the end, other people from the same school came into this world, and because of one of them… Maito-san, or thanks to her, the harem fell apart.

There was certainly a sense of loss, but more than that, there was a feeling of relief, as if a heavy burden had been lifted.

Maybe humans shouldn’t do things beyond their means.

And then… there was Carissa.

Somehow, Carissa didn’t disappear.

She even came back on her own.

Moreover, she treated me as if she still liked me the same way as before.

…I didn’t understand why.

I really didn’t understand why she would stay with me even after the cheat’s effect wore off.

There’s no way such a cute girl could like someone like me.

I knew that better than anyone.

Yet, Carissa would say, “My love for Yuuto is real!” and stay by my side.

I didn’t understand.

I didn’t understand Carissa or myself.

“Hey, Yuuto, you don’t believe in my love, do you?”

When we were alone, Carissa confronted me with that.

She hit the nail on the head. But really, there was no reason to believe, so it was natural, I thought.

“…You know, Yuuto. Even without the ‘Lost Blessing’, you’re my prince. You’re my hero who snatched me away when I was supposed to be executed.”

In this world, they seemed to call the cheat “Lost Blessing.”

But, it was the “Lost Blessing” that enabled me to save Carissa, not my own strength.

“I’ve liked you from the beginning, even without the ‘Lost Blessing.’ …How can I make you understand?”

…What?

“Eh, but when our eyes first met…”

“Eh? …Oh, Yuuto didn’t know. …Down in that castle dungeon, there’s a formation that seals all magic and ‘Lost Blessings.’ Why do I know? Hehe, because I set it up! I’m a genius, right?”

“…Eh?”

So, the guard soldier…

“I like Yuuto with or without the ‘Lost Blessing.’ I’ve always liked you. Always! Hey, can you believe in my love?”

What does this mean?

Then why did that soldier let me through?

…In the end, I think I just nodded in confusion.

…And after that, Carissa continued to stay with me.

Moreover, Carissa’s sister, Shureira, somehow ended up staying with us too.

I didn’t understand what Carissa and Shureira found appealing about me, but as I continued to stay with them, I came to accept it.

So we decided to return to my world together.

Shureira and Carissa were orphaned sisters, with no relatives, so they didn’t seem to have much resistance to leaving this world. And above all… I don’t quite understand why, but they love me, it seems.

And so we returned to my world.

When the light settled, we were in the place I was from… the east side of the courtyard corridor.

“…Is this Yuuto’s world?”

“What an odd place. What’s this floor made of?”

Carissa and Shureira were suddenly in a world unknown to them.

I braced myself, thinking they must be feeling anxious.

…But.

“So, Yuuto. Where’s your house? We need to greet your father and mother. Then, we need to think about where we’ll work. There’s no time to idle. …Haha, I love that about you.”

“What are Yuuto’s mom and dad like?”

It seemed that my worries were unnecessary, judging by their reactions.

Prodded by the responsible Shureira, we headed home… that was the plan, anyway…
