As Feng Lianzhu graduated from the university, so began Pang Kirates’ transformation!

Feng Lianzhu was a man of his word, and on that very day, he began receiving tutoring from the upgraded version of the Teacher Green Dragon. Considering he also needed to secretly infiltrate the Science Academy, Feng Lianzhu temporarily did not claim his reward to avoid alerting the alliance of the sudden disappearance of the Teacher Green Dragon.

His studies became more demanding, which was a relief for Lizard and others, as it meant they no longer had to write essays, copy essays, sit together to discuss essays and memorize essays. Finally, the essay fanatic Feng Lianzhu had a more fanatic Teacher Green Dragon to deal with!

The existence of the Teacher Green Dragon was discovered by an Atavist who snooped on Feng Lianzhu’s star web browsing records. They initially wanted to steal the topics for the next essay to prepare in advance online, but instead, they found Kirates learning a bunch of incomprehensible things under the tutelage of another giant dragon.

The snooping Atavist was shocked, almost forgetting he was actually looking at star web browsing records, and thought he was directly facing a Kirates species teaching scene. He immediately dropped the hacking device and ran madly to find Lizard. At the time, the Atavists were waiting for his results, but he, shouting for help, hid behind Lizard, scaring a group of Atavists into staying motionless behind the door.

After a while, Lizard asked, “What exactly happened?”

“A dragon! A green, oily dragon! Standing in front of Kirates, its long tail several meters long, slapping on the ground, scaring Lord Kirates into not daring to say a word and burying himself in his work,” the snooping Atavist said incoherently.

“What! There’s a dragon in his room? My god, one Kirates is scary enough, and there are two?” the serpent woman screamed.

“Wait a minute!” Lizard remained calm. He knew that besides Feng Lianzhu, there indeed was another Kirates, but Feng Lianzhu was not a dragon, and the other Kirates were golden, so how could it be green? He then asked, “Didn’t you go to steal the essay topics? Did you get them?”

“Of course not, the moment I hacked into his internet device, I saw him being reprimanded in the star web classroom by that green dragon with a seven-colored flower on its head!” the Atavist said.

Lizard sighed, “What you saw on the star web, could it be a real dragon? Which dragon has a flower growing on its head?”

“Right!” The Atavist suddenly realized.

Unicorn shook his head and gestured for the Atavist to come over.

As the Atavist approached, Unicorn pressed his white horn against his forehead, and after a while, Unicorn released the Atavist and said to everyone, “I saw what happened at the time, and I’ll show it to you.”

Invisible brainwaves were emitted from the horn on his forehead, and soon everyone saw the scene from that time.

“Unicorn, what is this ability of yours?” Lizard asked.

He remembered that in the past, in the arena, Unicorn’s modified ability was that its horn could transmit pain. Whatever pain was inflicted on him, the opponent would feel the same. Because of this ability, the underground arena would inject him with hallucinogens before he went on stage so that he temporarily couldn’t feel pain, while the opponent, not medicated, would feel it.

Hitting Unicorn himself would cause pain, but Unicorn wouldn’t feel it, making his ability one of the toughest to deal with. Only Lizard, with his strong regenerative powers, could battle Unicorn. Back in the day, their relationship in the underground arena was terrible, as the arena organizers, aiming to entertain the audience with their mutual torment, often matched them against each other. Lizard was the one who understood Unicorn’s abilities the best.

Hallucinogens and pain hollowed out Unicorn’s body, and by the time he was sent to the primitive star, he was nearly dead. After Feng Lianzhu rescued everyone, the parts of Unicorn that had been modified were restored, losing his pain-transferring ability. Unicorn’s horn became just an ordinary horn, but unexpectedly, he now awakened a new ability.

“Seems like a nice power,” Unicorn, touching the horn on his head, smiled at Lizard and said, “I quite like the changes in me recently, what about you?”

Lizard, with a cold face, said, “No wonder you write the best essays, did you copy ours?”

“Ah!” Bison shouted, “No wonder every time I write an essay, you have to touch me with the horn on your forehead!”

“Give me a break! It’s because your forehead is too big and always accidentally bump into me!” Unicorn retorted angrily, “With your essays, always thinking ‘Why do I talk so much’ ‘Can’t I just knock out whoever asks me a question’ ‘My head’s going to explode, why do I have to write essays’ ‘Die, essay’, what use is there to peep at your essays? I might as well look at Lizard’s!”

“Oh, so you really did copy my essays.” Lizard nodded and said, “Beat him up!”

A group of Atavists ganged up on Unicorn and gave him a beating. After the beating, everyone sat down and burst into laughter.

The beaten Unicorn adjusted his torn clothes, thought for a moment, and with a smile said, “I thought being a witness would be miserable, sentenced to life โ–กโ–ก, always guarded by someone. Who knew it would turn out like this.”

Lizard, sitting next to him, said, “It’s not much better, writing essays every day.”

After saying this, he couldn’t help but burst into laughter, not the twisted laughter of a clown “hehehe” “hahaha”, but a genuinely uncontrollable laugh.

“You can laugh normally now.” The crocodile said.

“We’re really quite good lately,” the serpent woman, looking at her hands, said, “Every time I write an essay, I forget about wanting to kill people.”

Everyone had their realizations, more or less saved in one way or another. It wasn’t Feng Lianzhu who saved them, but rather their courage to take the first step.

Facing the past, facing hatred, and facing the ugly self, accepting all of it, and moving towards a new life with blemishes seemed like a nice thing.

Except for writing essays.

After the commotion, Lizard said, “So, what you saw was not another Kirates dragon, but an artificial intelligence teacher in the star web classroom.”

“Why would he have a dragon as a teacher?” the snooping Atavist asked, puzzled.

“Because he is Kirates, I guess, with a different aesthetic from humans,” Unicorn teased, “Maybe he thinks that green dragon is incredibly beautiful, didn’t you see the little flowers on its head?”

They laughed together like a group of bad students speaking ill of their homeroom teacher.

As they laughed, Lizard felt a chill on his back, which was strange since he was sitting against the wall. How could there be a draft?

Startled, Lizard jumped up and rushed outside, only to see Feng Lianzhu standing in the corridor, staring at the wall he had been leaning against.

Lizard: โ€œโ€ฆโ€

Feng Lianzhu said with a stern face, โ€œI came to tell you that I’ve been quite busy recently and won’t be able to correct your essays for the time being. Fortunately, you are now well capable of dealing with the media and ordinary people of the alliance, so it’s unlikely you’ll cause any major trouble. From now on, the order among the Atavists will be maintained by you and Unicorn. Contact me if there’s anything.โ€

The Atavists all had smart brains and could contact Feng Lianzhu at any time.

Lizard asked, โ€œWhat are you busy with?โ€

โ€œDon’t you already know?โ€ Feng Lianzhu raised an eyebrow. The Teacher Green Dragon was an artificial intelligence that could record anyone snooping.

Lizard was greatly startled, and the Atavists who had been eavesdropping at the door also hid back behind it.

โ€œYou’re learning from an artificial intelligence teacher?โ€ Lizard asked awkwardly.

โ€œYes, what do you think of that teacher?โ€ Feng Lianzhu asked.

โ€œVery good, excellent!โ€ Lizard scrambled for words of praise in his brain, โ€œStrong, knowledgeable, and provides a sense of security!โ€

โ€œIs that so? Good to hear you like it.โ€ Feng Lianzhu looked over everyone, smiling oddly.

Before Lizard could analyze the meaning behind his smile, Feng Lianzhu said, โ€œThere were some unexpected developments in the second trial. One of the main defendants, who had been sentenced to death, had made contributions during the battle against the empire and had requested a psychological evaluation, claiming he had been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder since the war and couldnโ€™t control his actions in the underground arena. Following his lead, many defendants produced various kinds of evidence, and the prosecution needed time to review these pieces of evidence, delaying the second trial by two months.โ€

โ€œThat’s despicable!โ€ Lizard’s pupils narrowed into thin vertical lines, his tail shaking in anger.

โ€œDon’t be angry,โ€ Feng Lianzhu said, โ€œFor us, a two-month delay might actually be a good thing.โ€

โ€œWhat do you plan to do?โ€ Unicorn poked his head from the side of the door, his sensitive nature sensing Feng Lianzhu was plotting something.

โ€œTo do something big,โ€ Feng Lianzhu said, โ€œI can’t be with you until this big thing is done. And once it’s accomplished, whatever the alliance wants to do won’t matter anymore.โ€

After destroying the young dragon specimen, Pang Kirates evolved into the fifth stage, becoming an adult dragon, positioning their strongest force. By then, even if the alliance mobilized all its efforts against them, with the strong dragon on their side, they would have nothing to fear.

Whether it’s sophistry or opposition, with the support of absolute power, the alliance would have no choice.

Although they were unsure of the reason, Feng Lianzhu’s confidence still infected the Atavists, and they saw hope in each other’s eyes.

“Don’t worry, for these two months under the dual protection of the Imperial Army and the alliance, no one dares to touch us,” Unicorn said. “The underground arena knows well that if any of us were to be injured or die, the people of the alliance would definitely protest, and then they would truly be doomed. The best strategy for them is to try to smear our reputation while submitting evidence to reduce their sentences. They won’t lay a hand on us before then.”

The primitive star was protected by interstellar pirates, and the Imperial Army was too busy dealing with the alliance to care about a small planet with only a few hundred Atavists.

Both sides were very safe, allowing Feng Lianzhu to focus on his internship, studies, and efforts to enter the Science Academy without any worries.

During the two months of rapid learning, Pang Kirates, who was always sleeping, often heard the system’s notifications: the truth about the underground arena was revealed to the public, the Atavists’s physical and mental health were treated, Feng Lianzhu became the top scorer in the college entrance examination, receiving the third stage of evolutionary energy, and upon graduating from university, he received the fourth stage of evolutionary energy.

Regardless of how many tasks there were, Pang Kirates did not wake up until he received the news of Feng Lianzhu’s university graduation. After accumulating the fourth stage of evolutionary energy, the sleeping little golden dragon suddenly opened his eyes!

He quickly shed the golden scale armor on his body, revealing his unprotected flesh beneath. His front claws curled up in pain as the cells within his body rapidly divided under the stimulus of the energy.

The evolution of the Kirates species is not step by step but accumulates the energy of the first four stages and then transforms into a human all at once. The energy for the fifth stage requires accumulation in a weakened human body.

Feng Lianzhu’s graduation from university marked the beginning of Pang Kirates’ transformation!

The author has a message:

  1. Kirates is effing adorable omg, irresistible!
And this story has such fresh concept and plot line. Cyan Wings’ novels can be easily recognised just based on their unique concepts, lovable characters and the smooth insertion of complex concepts and ideas in the story. Can’t forget the comedy part. I love their works.
Thank you so so much for translating this novel! I feel so healed and joyful reading about the adorable dragon and the lovely ex-NPC. May you have a wonderful day ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ
