Are they really humans?
Probably because Feng Lianzhu ate the fruit that looked so sweet, the aborigines in the cave gradually relaxed and were no longer so frightened. There’s even a boy of 14 or 15 years old who looked at the fruit and blinked, showing a longing look and seeming a little greedy.
Feng Lianzhu noticed the young man’s focused eyes and threw him a few fruits. The boy didn’t catch it but after the fruit fell, he quickly picked up the blue fruit, fearing that others would grab it, and quickly stuffed it into his mouth.
After two bites with a “kacha” sound, the dirty boy was sluggish for a moment before holding the fruit and weeping. Even while crying, he swallowed the fruit in his mouth with difficulty, tears and snot all over his face.
That blue fruit was hard and astringent, completely unpalatable that even Feng Lianzhu’s facial muscles twitched because of the acidity when he first ate it. However, this was the first time he’d eaten food and it was to replenish energy when his spiritual energy was lacking. If there’s no comparison, there’ll be no harm and if you haven’t experienced sweetness, you’ll naturally not feel how unpleasant a sour taste is.
At least the fruit can fill him up and replenish his energy which was enough.
Feng Lianzhu could bear it but that didnโt mean that the other aboriginal people could bear it. Fortunately, everyone didn’t have the character of wasting food so the boy still ate the two fruits he picked up with difficulty. Of course, he didn’t stop crying and he cried until he finished eating.
Feng Lianzhu’s mission was to help the Aborigines get rid of poverty and become rich. Now, not to mention helping them, he also ate their fruits.
With a lot of spiritual energy, he roughly counted the number of people in the cave, including those who crawled in front of him. A total of 17 people. Aside from the fruit-eating boy, the rest of the aborigines were between the ages of 18-30 and had no elderly or children.
The fruit-eating boy closest to him was in good health except for a rotten part of his arm. After Feng Lianzhu checked, he determined that he had no other wounds and reached out to grab his arm.
The boy wanted to run but Feng Lianzhu’s speed didn’t give him a chance. A green leaf appeared at Feng Lianzhu’s fingertips and with a slight movement of his wrist, the leaf turned into a knife and blue light flickered as the rotten flesh on the boy’s wound was instantly gouged out.
Feng Lianzhu was so fast that he didn’t give the boy a chance to cry. His slender fingers touched the boy’s bleeding wound and a green light flashed. The festering and infected wound healed. As a boss, he must have the ability to lead an entire group. Some simple healing abilities were still there but they’re only single-shot recovery. Feng Lianzhu didn’t have continuous blood recovery, group recovery, group assist, or resurrection skills.
The boy recovered before he had time to feel the pain. His black bean-like eyes looked at his arm in amazement. At this time, Feng Lianzhu saw the boy’s hand clearly and found that his palm wasn’t a human palm. The fingers were thin and pointed and were hanging down softly like the paws of a mouse.
After seeing no wound, the boy clasped his hand with two paws and shook Feng Lianzhu’s hand, then made a “squeak” sound in his mouth.
This was obviously not a language but the cry of some kind of beast. Feng Lianzhu’s bamboo-like brows furrowed.
The thin man crawling on the ground raised his head boldly and told Feng Lianzhu: “Lord Kirates, his name is Mouse 223, the vocal cords and palms were mutated and he’s unable to speak normally. His body size is also a circle smaller than ordinary people.”
His voice whistled and upon closer inspection, there were no teeth in his mouth, only filled with blood.
After the system’s translation, Feng Lianzhu could understand the words of the aborigines just like when listening to Pang Kirates’ message. The fat dragon, who shared the same system, could also understand his message, but the Aborigines who didn’t have a system couldnโt understand Feng Lianzhu’s language.
Lord Kirates…the Aborigines regarded Feng Lianzhu as the fat dragon. Feng Lianzhu thought of the dragon scales on his chest and figured out the reason.
He didn’t mind pretending to be Pang Kirates since this was the mission of that fat dragon. After the exchange, they had to return to each other’s world so it’s best to pretend to be each other.
However, Feng Lianzhu was not sure if the fat dragon was willing to pretend to be him.
He recalled the “report” of the system just now and was sure that Pang Kirates had no intention of pretending to be him at all.
After struggling to introduce the situation of Mouse 223 to Feng Lianzhu, the thin man vomited blood. He lost all his teeth and couldn’t eat, having been hungry for four or five days, and with his wound not healing, he had been waiting to die before Feng Lianzhu arrived.
Seeing him vomit blood, Feng Lianzhu hurriedly stuffed the leaf in his mouth.
The fragrance of the green leaf permeated his rotten mouth. The thin man endured the pain of being cut with a knife and letting the leaves remove the rotting flesh. He didn’t say a word but cold sweat broke out on his forehead from the pain. After cleaning up, he spat out a mouthful of rotten flesh and blood.
A cool finger poked the thin man’s face and his mouth felt cold. The pain disappeared and when Feng Lianzhu’s fingers left, all his teeth grew out.
It was so painful when the flesh was being scraped just now yet the thin man didn’t cry out in pain, but at this moment, he whimpered and laid down on the ground with his forehead pressed against Feng Lianzhu’s feet.
The wounded in the cave saw that Feng Lianzhu could treat them and had no intention of attacking them so even the timid ones crawled towards him. A stinking person even grabbed Feng Lianzhu’s gown with his black hands, leaving a black handprint.
“Let go!” Before Feng Lianzhu showed his displeasure, the thin man raised his head suddenly and roared, showing his sharp teeth to everyone who rushed to Feng Lianzhu.
These weren’t human teeth but more like a beast’s teeth. The four fangs were like steel knives that could bite through the big tree next to them in one bite.
A threatening sound of โgrr grr” came out of his throat as he bared his teeth and told everyone: “Line up, the most injured in front.”
Under his arrangement, the remaining 15 people finally stabilized. Mouse 223 and the thin man carried the immobile wounded to Feng Lianzhu and after lining up, he knelt on the ground and looked up at Feng Lianzhu eagerly.
Some traumatic injuries could be easily cured with the bamboo knife and even those with the most severe where their intestines were exposed could be easily treated. Those with broken bones could be reset and even those with internal injuries, Feng Lianzhu could simply cut the flesh and directly treat the internal organs. His methods were relatively rough and there was no anesthetic, but none of these dying people cried. They all gritted their teeth and endured it.
Only those with missing arms and legs, Feng Lianzhu couldn’t regenerate their limbs so he could only heal the wounded area and make them less painful and less likely to be infected.
During the healing process, Feng Lianzhu discovered that these people had some animal characteristics. Some have scales, hare lips, tails, animal ears, animal claws, and vertical pupils…are they really human?
After the treatments were finished, Feng Lianzhu tapped the remaining fruit and then patted the thin man on the shoulder, motioning for the man to take him to find this fruit.
Relying on his skills consumed a lot of spiritual energy and he’s hungry again.
Body language was the most primitive way of communication. Feeling that the man understood, he nodded and said: “Dog 16 will take you there.”
Like Mouse 223, his name was also a physical alienation feature plus a number.
Dog 16 stayed in the cave and didn’t follow the team to find meat. First, he was unable to eat and was waiting to die, and second, it was to protect the wounded. He stayed at the entrance of the cave and rushed out first after seeing Feng Lianzhu. He seemed to surrender but it’s actually to guard the others. If Feng Lianzhu would really eat them and eaten Dog 16 first, he might be full and wouldn’t do anything to the others.
Now that everyone was healed except for the two crippled ones, the rest were capable of fighting so Dog 16 didn’t need to protect them and could rest assured to pick fruits with Feng Lianzhu.
He led Feng Lianzhu into the woods and Mouse 223 looked at their backs. His nose moved, revealing two front teeth. He anxiously rubbed his two front paws and then trotted to follow.
Hearing the footsteps behind, Dog 16 became alert and arched his body on all fours, his eyes fixed on the direction of the footsteps.
Feng Lianzhu pulled Dog 16 up and forcibly released him from the alert state.
At this time, the grass moved and the head of Mouse 223 was exposed. Seeing the two of them, he happily squeaked twice.
“What are you doing here?” Dog 16 said, displeased, “You have no fighting ability, you’re a burden.”
Mouse 223 “squeaked” and seeing that Dog 16 couldn’t understand, he grabbed a handful of soil, kneaded it into a ball with his small paws, held it in both hands, and handed it to Feng Lianzhu.
Translating this action almost made Feng Lianzhu’s memory occupation rate reach the warning line again. He looked at the ball of soil for a long time, not understanding what Mouse 223 meant.
Mouse 223 was so anxious that he put the ball of soil in his mouth and tearily chewed the soil like when he ate the fruit.
Combined with his previous actions, Dog 16 finally guessed what he meant and told Feng Lianzhu: “Mouse 223 wants to pick fruits for you.”
Is this as payment?
Feng Lianzhu nodded in approval and Mouse 223 shouted happily.
